For the love of dogs... and their humans
Finally a dedicated space where hounds and their humans can eat, hang out and have fun!
We love that so many cafes are dog friendly these days, but having occasionally found ourselves on the wrong end of a scornful sigh from less than enthusiastic bipeds, we decided to create Dandie- the cafe that doesn't just welcome dogs, but ensures they're at the heart of everything we do.
And while dogs take the lead, generally there's a human holding it. So we've designed a menu for both- flavour packed, nourishing, locally sourced vegetarian human and dog food. And when you try our cakes? Trust us, if you had a tail you'd be wagging it!
Check out the services we offer at Dandie, including the solution to those times when you've slid and slipped around the Heath on the muddiest day and dread dragging it all home. Now you don't have to! Come to Dandie and bathe your pooch with ease in our specially designed doggie bathroom with a self-serve dog wash. Pooch scared of hair dryers? He'll be dry in a jiffy thanks to our in-house bathrobes too!
Whatever your reason for stopping by, your dog will be our hero, and we’ll take really good care of you too!
We are taking bookings for parties of 4 to 6.
Please email us at to book. We can't wait to meet you!
Who's behind Dandie?
I was completely unprepared for how becoming a dog owner would change my life until Buddy charged into my arms. There I was, minding a homeless shelter's business, when he showed up and introduced me to a new world! Buddy’s hilarious, complicated, demanding, super smart, preternaturally high energy and the best friend a woman could have. Raising and training him while holding down a job and living a city life has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. And when I wanted to relax and hang out with my pup and our friends, the perfect spot didn't exist. So here we are, Bud and I, making it happen.

I was born on 20th February 2018 and I live in Kings Cross with my human, Cookie. I think she only gave me the fancy title because I’m the house dog, but to be fair my work ethic is on point. That, a fine nose and an indiscriminate palate mean the floors are always immaculate but I’m never happier than when me and Cookie are tearing it up on the heath, which is what inspired us opening in Hampstead. I’m really excited about making new friends and showing them around our new pad.
I’ll be the dog no more than three steps away from Cookie at all times. (Oh and if you think dogs can’t count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving me only two of them!)

By the way, you don’t need a dog to visit us – we know lots of people in London who’d love a dog but can’t have one. Now you can join us at Dandie and get your puppy fix!
